About Us
Seth Davis
President and Founder
Seth Davis, President and Founder of Stay Awhile Properties, has always blended creativity and entrepreneurship with a passion for exceptional hospitality. His career path has been as dynamic as his interests — from touring the U.S. and Europe for seven years as a professional bass player, to running a custom European wall finishes business in Northern California’s wine country, to owning and operating an organic vegetable farm.
Seth’s drive for excellence has taken him far beyond U.S. borders. In addition to his own ventures, he spent time in East Africa working with a non-profit to teach rural farmers sustainable agriculture practices. These experiences sharpened his eye for detail, strengthened his leadership skills, and deepened his commitment to creating meaningful, memorable experiences.
After purchasing his first investment property in Hoodsport, Washington, Seth quickly discovered the powerful income potential of the short-term rental market — and how his diverse background perfectly aligned with delivering consistent 5-star stays. Combining his love of travel, real estate investment, and guest-centered service, he launched Stay Awhile Properties to help property owners maximize returns while offering guests an elevated home-away-from-home experience.
Matthew McDonald
Operations Advisor
In addition to serving as the Operations Advisor for Stay Awhile Properties, Matt McDonald is the Operations Manager for all short-term rentals under Occupied LLC in Salem, Massachusetts. He oversees operations for over 100 properties, including STRs and three boutique hotels across the country.
Matt also serves as a coach and consultant for the STR Secrets Mastermind, sharing insights and strategies with other industry professionals.

All of the towels, the gym was great and they even had a sauna. The game room was fun. Honestly it was just such a great experience. Seth was a great host! He had some wonderful recommendations of what we could do in the area and a few restaurants if we were going to go out to eat. Definitely five stars ! We will be back."
